Pearse Hoffmann currently serves as Senior Vice President, Capital Markets & Investor Relations. He is responsible for executing on corporate and asset-level debt and equity financings and communicating corporate strategy to investors, analysts and other key stakeholders. Since joining the company in 2015, he has closed over $10 billion in single asset, portfolio and corporate financings including term loans, unsecured notes, credit facilities, mortgage and mezzanine loans, convertible notes, IPO’s and secondary offerings. He began his career at Lord, Abbett & Co. and holds a B.S. degree in Finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

Adam Cohen
Adam Cohen, our Senior Vice President, Tax, joined iStar Inc. in August 2015. Mr. Cohen has over 35 years of experience in the field of taxation and is a Certified Public Accountant. He worked in small and Big Four public accounting firms for 18 years specializing in real estate and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining iStar Inc., Mr. Cohen led the tax departments at other publicly traded, real estate investment trusts and a family office. Mr. Cohen holds a B.A. degree in economics from UCLA and an M.S. degree in taxation from Golden Gate University.
Ash Jogi
Ash Jogi currently serves as the Head of Information Technology and Business Solutions. Mr. Jogi oversees iStar’s technology infrastructure, application ecosystem and is responsible for developing innovative technology solutions for meeting business needs. Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Mr. Jogi spent over 20 years in supporting equities and fixed income businesses. His experience is in developing data-centric solutions for trading, investing, compliance, asset management, record-keeping, and reporting. He previously held leadership roles at PineBridge Investments, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup. Mr. Jogi holds a B.S. degree in Material Science from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka, India and M.B.A from NYU Stern School of Business.
Brian Cheripka
Brian Cheripka serves as a Senior Vice President of Land & Development and is directly responsible for one of iStar’s largest land assets, the Asbury Park Waterfront, a billion dollar 35-acre mixed-use redevelopment project. He drives strategic planning for the valuation, acquisition, entitlement, sales and marketing and construction of iStar’s residential, hospitality and entertainment assets. Prior to joining iStar, Mr. Cheripka worked at Trammell Crow Residential, Hovnanian Enterprises and UBS Investment Bank in various roles directly related to the financing and development of for-sale housing and multi-family rental projects. Mr. Cheripka holds a B.A. from Villanova University. Upon graduation, he spent several years serving in the U.S Army with the 101st Airborne Division.
Carrie Brown
Carrie Brown serves as Senior Vice President, CRE Transaction Services. Mrs. Brown joined iStar in 1998 through its merger with TriNet Corporate Realty Trust and is responsible for due diligence and transaction oversight for new ground leases, loans, net lease transactions and dispositions. She also spear-heads the due diligence and third-party endeavors for firm initiatives such as the bond/equity offerings, permanent financings and revision of iStar’s bank lines. She has been instrumental in numerous systems implementations, firmwide automation and establishment of the company’s information governance program. Mrs. Brown has more than 29 years of real estate experience in acquisition analysis, finance, investment, asset management and property management within a multitude of asset classes. Prior to joining iStar, Mrs. Brown held positions with Equity Investment Group, Holiday Inn Worldwide (nka InterContinental Hotel Group), Faison and Regency Realty. She holds a BA from Western Michigan University and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (“CCIM”).
Chase Curtis
Chase S. Curtis has served as Executive Vice President, Credit for iStar since January 2005. He assumed his current position after serving as Senior Vice President, Credit since June 2001. He is responsible for coordinating the initial and on-going underwriting of corporate credit risk, with a particular emphasis on corporate tenant risk assessment. He joined iStar in 2001 from Bank of America following a 16-year career in credit risk management and structured corporate finance. Immediately before joining iStar, Mr. Curtis was the Chief Credit Officer of Bank of America Commercial Finance responsible for its credit approvals, risk policy and risk process controls. Prior to that, he was on a three-year assignment in Hong Kong as an executive credit risk review officer overseeing portfolio, transactional, business and overall strategic risk assessment across Asia. He began his financial services career in 1985 with Continental Illinois National Bank initially as a specialist lender in mining, construction, natural resource and project finance and subsequently highly leveraged corporate finance. Mr. Curtis holds an M.S. from the University of Arizona and a B.S. degree with high honors from Bates College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Gabe Randall
Gabe Randall serves as Senior Vice President, Land & Development, responsible for development oversight and monetization of the company’s land and development assets. Mr. Randall previously held positions in development management with DDG, a New York City residential developer, and The Howard Hughes Corporation, where he managed various phases of the $1 billion South Street Seaport redevelopment. He started his career in real estate acquisitions for BCE Holdings, a Los Angeles based family office. Mr. Randall holds a BS from Cal Poly.
Geoffrey Dugan
Geoffrey Dugan currently serves as iStar’s General Counsel, Corporate & Secretary. Mr. Dugan is responsible for corporate and securities laws compliance and regulatory matters, governance, and general corporate matters. Mr. Dugan joined iStar in 1999, following more than 20 years in private and in-house law practice. Mr. Dugan received a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. from Harvard College. He is a Member of the New York Bar and the State Bar of California.
Garett Rosenblum
Garett Rosenblum currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of both iStar and Safehold and responsible for the overall accounting and reporting functions at both companies. Prior to joining iStar in 2013, Mr. Rosenblum served as the Chief Accounting Officer at Arbor Realty Trust, a publicly traded REIT. Prior to joining Arbor, Mr. Rosenblum served as Director of Accounting at Citi Property Investors, a division of Citigroup. Mr. Rosenblum also spent six years at Ernst and Young LLP where he served both publicly traded real estate clients and private equity real estate funds. Mr. Rosenblum is a graduate of the St. John’s University School of Law where he earned is Juris Doctor degree. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in both Finance and Public Relations from Syracuse University. Mr. Rosenblum is a member of the New York State Bar and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York.
Lori Schwartz
Lori Schwartz serves as the Head of Risk Management at iStar. She is responsible for using a combination of risk transfer and risk avoidance to mitigate the Firm’s exposure to potential losses. She and her team purchase a variety of insurance policies in order to provide coverage for any exposure iStar has as well as reviews the indemnity and insurance portions of each and every contract or lease that iStar enters into. Prior to joining iStar in 2018, Lori served as an Executive Director as Morgan Stanley in their Risk Management Department. She holds a BBA from the University of Wisconsin with a major in Risk and Insurance Management and a minor in international business.
