About The Position

SUMMARY


The Servicing Analyst is responsible for fully understanding and being the point person for their loan and lease portfolios, ensuring that all recurring activities are handled appropriately, and for supporting the Asset Managers/Senior Management with respect to reporting and compliance issues. Servicing Analysts also work with lead servicers/agent banks, attorneys, the tax department, treasury department and the accounting group. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

The Servicing Analyst is responsible for fully understanding and being the point person for their loan and lease portfolios, ensuring that all recurring activities are handled appropriately, and for supporting the Asset Managers/Senior Management with respect to reporting and compliance issues. Servicing Analysts also work with lead servicers/agent banks, attorneys, the tax department, treasury department and the accounting group. 

  • Creating and maintaining effective borrower/tenant relationships and handling all related inquiries, generating billing statements, following up on tenant/borrower delinquencies and reporting the status to Asset Managers, etc.
  • Reading and interpreting legal documents to ensure that assets are properly set up, critical items are followed-up, and assets are serviced in compliance with the agreements
  • Comprehensive review of construction draws packages for loans (improvement allowances for leases) and preparing wire requests
  • Identifying tenant / borrower reporting requirements based on their lease / loan documents, pursuing quarterly      reports from tenants/borrowers and maintaining ticklers. Ensuring third party lender reporting and covenant compliance requirements are submitted timely
  • Preparing quarterly asset performance reports under strict deadlines for internal risk rating meetings
  • Posting loan payments; assisting in lease cash coverage as needed
  • Monitor real estate tax payments for assigned properties
  • Special projects as needed

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of loan servicing and lease administration responsibilities in a related business environment
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Independent critical thinking abilities; strong attention to detail
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of loan/lease system functionality and amortization schedules
  • Basic understanding of accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Shows initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
