Yardi Business Analyst

About The Position

In this role, the individual will work closely with business areas in ensuring that firm’s ERP system, Yardi, meets company’s needs. He/she will interface and communicate with the business in managing projects, developing reports, resolving data/process issues. Yardi is a key system for the firm and this individual will be the “go-to” Yardi person.

  • Perform administrative/support functions in Yardi and help business departments in using Yardi effectively
  • Work with user groups in gathering, interpreting, analyzing and documenting business requirements
  • Develop project plans/timelines and work-break-down structures and communicate with the business in managing their needs/expectations
  • Develop design/functional specification documents for business requirements
  • Work with the application development and data engineering team in developing business solutions
  • Design, develop and test reports in Yardi and data visualization dashboards using BI tools
  • Communicate and coordinate with business users in gathering requirements and testing/supporting applications
  • Help address audit requests from firm’s internal and external auditors

Requirements

  • Excellent data analysis skills with expertise in handling large datasets and time series data 
  • Excellent critical reasoning skills with ability to interpret and evaluate business requirements and user needs
  • Excellent Project Management skills and preferably Project Management Professional (PMP) certified
  • Appreciation for and experience with documentation of systems flows and architecture
  • Experience in writing SQLs to be able to extract and analyze business data independently
  • Experience in Yardi and SalesForce
  • Experience in developing business intelligence platform from enterprise data
  • Experience in interfacing with finance/accounting/tax teams
  • Familiarity with GAAP accounting
  • Experience with data visualization using Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience is developing project plans with critical success factors, KPIs, work-break-down structures, delivery and resource schedules
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience is developing project proposals, business requirement documents and technical/functional specification documents
  • Highly organized, good eye for detail and process and timeline orientated
  • Experience working on large scale systems and enterprise scale products
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of application testing
  • Strong ability to interact effectively with peers, work on own initiative and to adapt to a changing, fast paced, and dynamic work environment across multiple regions and time zones
  • Results oriented, high energy, self-motivated and proven experience supporting high pressure environment preferably in Investment/Trading
